Bachelor button in violet
I doubt this image will deserve “best on this blog” comment, but I like it nevertheless.
I took this photograph in front of my porch, where I planted some wild flowers in spring. They were blooming whole summer, giving me the perfect opportunity for some macro photography. I was playing with depth of field on my macro lens. I am still stunned how shallow it is, when you get really close. I stepped down a bit, and got most of the back flower in focus. But you can see that the petals at the back are soft already. Also, the foreground flower is completely out of focus, but gives the color to the picture. Along with touches of green leaves and stems.
