Bachelor’s button
I was “sitting” on this image for over a month. I wanted to test if I will still like it after the time passes. Do you also have those “types” of images? Those you are so exited when you took, and then on large screen hey just don’t look all that well? Then there are those you discover when first browsing through latest shot, sometimes surprises how well they turned out. And then there are those you will come back to over and over again, perhaps they will make their way into your portfolio or on the blog?
And I guess it doesn’t happen all that often to have an image which withstands all three selection periods. This one did for me.
I shot this bachelor’s button in front on my house, late in fall. I shot through another flower, just in front of it. This gave this ethereal focus on the right and bottom sides of the image, and pleasing color cast. The color of the flower contrasts well with the green background, making it pop.
