Chiaroscuro

Last week, my “365 project” took me on the adventure into light. What started as kitchen table studio shots with overhead lights and a flash light (that’s how the orange in this post was photographed), ended in a sophisticated portrait shoot with my husband as a gracious model.

A day before that I was exploring chiaroscuro effect with a pepper (I am planning to post the image soon). The choices of where to place light and where to leave shadow was creating images with totally different mood and meaning. But the actual inspiration for this one flash and a snoot portrait was a cover of Adele’s album “Adele 19” I saw earlier that day.
