Diptych – Geese
The idea of shooting some pictures every day, also called 365 project, opened me to all kinds of projects and assignments around the Web. Like Weekly Photography Challenge by DPS. I was occasionally participating in those before, but now, it is an excellent idea for a photograph (or whole project) for another day. I only wish it was possible for me to actually submit images to a pool- since they always but one time seem to be surviving the moderation on the site.
“Tell a story with diptych” was this week’s theme. The idea for a diptych came to me when I was walking on Saturday morning, looking for subjects to shoot, and discovering how shade and bright sunshine differently lit the traces of geese in the fresh snow. I have a whole collection of those shots, and I thought to pair it with one of older shots of geese. Those are rather popular around here, and i tend to take a lot of pictures when they fly above my head or land in one of countless artificial lakes, so it was not difficult to find one to go well with the traces in snow. An adjustment of colors and crop was all I did here.
