Beautiful food at Bata’s

Last weekend, our local photo club organized a food photography event in Bata’s restaurant in Cedar Rapids. It was one of my favorite club shoots so far – I love photographing food. I am sure I would do far more of it, did I not hate to cook it. Here, I could focus on what I enjoy, with no mess in the kitchen and worrying about styling. With Tomasz helping me with lights, it was just a pleasant morning.

The food was prepared beautifully. We had a great selection, from appetizers to main dishes to desserts. And luckily, the whole section of the restaurant just for us, since quite a few people showed up. And incredible ampunt of equipment – lights, tripods, foam boards…

At the end, it turned out that beautiful food was also delicious. We got to test after the shoot, when most of the group stayed for lunch and to talk shop…
