Evening balloon glow

I have mixed luck with balloon events. Especially those early in the morning races or launches. My record so far is twice not taken off, including once at Airventure when I actually could take awesome pictures because the balloons were there, and twice I was a minute too late. Or 5 minutes, the effect being they were gone.

So this time, when I got to the morning event of Great Galena Balloon Race ahead of time, something must have gone wrong. And it did – the event was canceled due to weather. Well, good I came a day before to photograph evening launch and night glow…
