Prairie grasses
We were graced with warm and long fall this year. Even so, leaves fall and plants die sooner in Iowa than just few hours South. Late October-November is great time for a trip to botanical gardens in St Louis, or, as I just learned last week, to Kansas City. OK, Powell Gardens are hardly Kansas City proper, but close enough. And well worth the trip. There were still some roses and plenty of mums and pansies. And plenty of prairie grass and other native plants.
I cannot really decide if the image is technically sound. What I do like about it is shallow depth of field, sharp hair on the plant, dreamy colors and overall feel of abstract. This is how I see the world. This is how I want to photograph it.
