Inspired by The Master
Ansel Adams is mentioned in every single book about photography at least once. And in every book about landscape and/or nature photography at least three times.. per chapter. I decided to take a look at his work to get some idea of where to go. I am a hard copy type person, so I picked up few albums from library. And indeed, there are few photos I fell in love with. My absolute favorite is “Clearing storm, Sonoma County Hills, 1951”. “Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico, 1941” is the runner.
Todays photo is inspired by The Master. I looked through the Wisconsin weekend photos to find one suitable for black & white, with some atmosphere to it. I used Lightroom to convert it, using the steps described by Scott Kelby in his Lightroom book. In essence, I used Grayscale conversion in Develop module and adjusted parameters until I was happy with it. What I like about this particular photo are the clouds converging to one spot.
