Boating on Namekagon Lake
Do you sometimes have a night when you wake up far more tired then when you went to bed? I just had one of those. I was ready to go back to sleep just to rest after this night “sleep”. I just cannot find the energy to do much, including posting something today. But when I was browsing through images from this summer, this one caught my attention. I took it during our 4th of July weekend trip to Northern Wisconsin. We spend a whole afternoon on the boat, just exploring the Lake Namekagon and neighboring lakes. I shot several views from the boat like this one, but I think this is the most interesting, with the bridge up front. One of examples, that even a midday image can turn out all right, with right position of the sun. I did not use the filter neither on camera nor in post to keep the blue of the sky, it just photographed that way. And I love the deep color of the water. Now, that the summer is almost over, and the day gets short…This photograph reminds me, how much fun I had this summer and how many great trips we made.
This image was taken right here, just before the bridge on County Highway D between Namekagon and Garden Lake.
