Film Friday – Red berries
Probably my favorite winter subjects for close up photography- red berries. I have spots in town where I know they are, and if I cannot find anything else to photograph, that’s where I go. The trick for this particular image was how close I can get to it with 50 mm lens. If it wasn’t for the dramatic shape of the branch,
this shot would not have worked that well.
I try not to process my film images too much, but for this, I added a bit clarity and, as experiment, added a bit of blue tint in the shadows, using split tone. It gave it this “aged” feel to it, which I really like.
