Hotel room

As I mentioned, I was in NY last week. I was left to spend 8 hours of other people’s, including my husband, office time, doing something fun in the city. I chose Met. I think this is the one thing I always wanted to go to Big Apple to see. Well, I already was there, but what the heck. So, I took my camera, my lenses (including Lensbaby, the photos coming later this week :) ) and decided to organize myself ….a photowalk. With all the time in my hands, I was simply playing with the camera, picking the subjects, angles, lenses. Practicing. I ended up with 151 photos worth second look, and seven really good and interesting. OK, eight of them in fact. The eighth is a HDR, which I shoot hand holding, but with Manual mode and focus on back button. Keeping the camera to my eye, I was just changing shutter speed one step at the time, and the combined image turned out all right.
