Ice floats

Panning on still subject, like I saw Brenda Tharp called it in her book, was another technique I set out to master during my weekend walk-and-shoot in the park. It is unseasonably warm around here recently, snow is melting, rivers are thawing… This is an somehow abstract photo of ice floats on Cedar River. I have not been panning exactly parallel to water flow, thus the effect.
