Macy’s on parade
I was looking at the front page of a blog the other day. Not only did I not post all that much in last couple of weeks, what I did post was mostly black and white or dark colors. Combined with gray weather out of the window, it is getting on the depressing side. Time to introduce some color back!
The series of images of girls in elaborate and colorful dresses, Southern style, I shot last weekend during Thanksgiving parade in Chicago. I really enjoyed the delicate pastel colors of their costumes, they stood out even from overall explosion of colors, red in particular, on parade participants. I noticed them when they were unloading the buses right in front of our hotel (yes, we had perfect place to stay, just couple of blocks away from where the parade started, totally by accident!). I was then waiting impatiently for their spot during the parade, to take closer look and photograph.
