Metal fillings macro

I don’t exactly know, what it is. My husband brought it from garage when I was playing with a rented macro lens, as he though it looks cool. And it does. I know it consists of metal fillings and some car fluid. I photographed it on a cardboard background, but later decided the color just distracts from the shapes on this image and turned it black and white. It reminds a bit of the flower with tiny petals, or messed up hair on bad hair day.
