Oak leaves
Some time ago, when fall was in full swing, I saw B&W picture of fall foliage on Moose Peterson’s blog. The whole idea surprised me a lot, the last think I would imagine is turning those colorful images into B&W, desaturating those rich colors we try to capture, and contrasts between reds and greens. But the image was very successful. So I was thinking about it more. There are tools for B&W which can be used to accent those contrasts, tools like Channel Mixer in Photoshop or Black & White Mix in Lightroom. And in just preparing the image for today’s blog I realized, that not every image will work for this conversion- as with all B&W images, you have to keep in in mind when you take the image!
