Oranges

Don’t get me wrong- I like winter and would be the last person to complain about snow outside. But sometimes we just need something for a change. Plus, oranges really have a lot to do with holidays season, as a source of vitamin C in place of lacking seasonal, fresh fruit, and are also an ingredient or addition to many traditional dishes.
I took this image in the green house of Botanic Garden in Walbrzych, Poland. I do believe the Botanic Garden in part of old, large park surrounding Ksiaz Castle. The orange tree was surrounded by many other trees of its kind and many different, so it was not an easy task to get a clean and simply composed photo. What I really wanted to show here, other then bright color of fruit, is the contract of color and texture between oranges and the raked, brown soil.
