Pastels

I own two boxes of pastels, hard and soft. They are from the times before photography, when I did not want to do watercolor painting anymore, but needed some other outlet. i never really learned how to draw. Looking back at my first drawings, I see same problem my studio photography suffers from. It isn’t until now I start to understand how light and shadow help define the object. Maybe it is time to pick them back and draw something?

Meantime, they serve well as photography subject. It was one evening fun with multitude of pastel colors and a Lensbaby lens.
