Peeking through color
Typically, Torie is not a great subject. This is probably her pictures are not more often found on this blog. She is just too alive, too dynamic. She moves and changes positions much faster than I can change point of focus, forget autofocus.
I was working on an image for another assignment, needed something colorful around her. Poinsettias are poisonous to cats, so my plan was get her sufficiently interested in the plant, but not allow her to chew on the leaves. Luckily, she was curious enough to spend few minutes sniffing around the pot, with me shooting like crazy, trying to get something, anything with her in focus, in dark room at crazy ISO with wide open lens. 10 pictures survived first edit, out of more than 100, and this one made through final cut.
