The wheel

This old fire engine was a great subject to photograph. There was just so many details, shiny elements, bright-colored body and wheels. Instead of taking an HDR photo, this time we were working with a flash to light specifically the elements of the most interest.
We found it in an old fire station in Pella, Iowa, during this year’s Pella Tulip Time. The engine is in fact fully functional and participates in the festival parade each year. Afterwards, it comes back to the station where you can photograph it, or just stare at it :).
