Yellow Cub on floats

The week of posting best shots from Air venture would not be complete without an image from sea base. This year I went there with strong commitment to take a ride in a float equipped plane to see if it is as bas as Tomasz claims or as fun as I envisioned it. Well, the weather prevented me from doing so. Luckily, at the same time it gave us beautiful light for our ride around the base- in a pontoon.

This yellow Piper Cub is by far my favorite image from that evening. I was actually quite happy with just as it came out of teh camera. Yet, something made me try one-image HDR. I was blown away bu the richness of colors. I almost pulled back on the Saturation, and quickly restored it back- it has this setting sun golden glow.

Meantime, the jury is still out there, if sea planes are double the fun or not good for anything. We are going to have this discussion with Tomasz for another year, until next visit as sea base.
